About/
Memori is a Time Capsule APP designed for children in the close future, a era of advanced technology but reduced family connections and bond.
Memori’s core idea is to encourage children to go out and explore the world, using technology as a tool to record precious memories rather than addictive drugs. It also hopes to bond the family better through family members collectively create artwork together.
Problem/
Many parents now don’t have enough time to stay besides their children. With advanced technology available nowadays, many children get addicted to video games, virtual worlds, and finally lose connections to their parents and become eccentric.
“I really don’t have time to take my son outside, I have to work extra hours during the weekend to make a living.”

“My son and I argue a lot. Sometimes I feel so tired I just don’t want to waste time on him. I’m busy too.”

“My parents don’t care about me, they always come home late. All they know is work but not the family. Sometimes I found it more comfortable staying in the video game world.”

Collaborate with family members
Children and parents can collectively create memories through tablets and mobile phones. Children can send their memory drafts to their parents, including their ideas and thoughts to share, and parents can respond with their comments and stickers.
Platform of family communications
Memori is a platform to enhance family communications. Many times children and parents enter awkward silences after conflicts, but the problem is still not fixed. Memori offers an opportunity for parents to leave their point of view as a message. Children can review these messages when they calm down, and choose to discuss with parents in person or through the app. With Memori, both children and parents have the chance to make their voices and discuss how they feel about the problem, which builds a bridge of stronger family bondings.
